Instagram has been rolling out our new features almost daily!
We have listed 5 features that you may not know about so that you can be sure to stay up to date with the ever-evolving app. Please note that you may not have some of these new features yet, but it is still good to be prepared as they will be available on your feed within the coming weeks!
Reels Dual Cam
This latest feature seems to be getting a lot of attention! It allows users to use both their front-facing camera as well as their back camera at the same time! This is a great tool to use when wanting to create an educational video explaining the process of how to do something. Simply open the Reels feature, select the ‘dual’ option, and start recording your video. Many have said that this new feature is suspiciously similar to the trending app, “BeReal”, which prompts users randomly throughout the day to send a photo of what they are up to in the spur of the moment using both sides of their camera.
Story Reaction Stickers
This fun feature allows you to react to your own story by opening the story feature on the app, recording, or uploading a video, and adding the reaction sticker to it. You can change the reaction to something that is suitable for your message. This is a cool feature when not over-used. You should keep it simple with just one sticker per story.
You can now set time limits on your daily activity on the app. This is a great idea when wanting to set healthy boundaries on your phone and ensure that you are not spending an unhealthy amount of time on the app. To do this, navigate to your activity on your home profile page, select recently deleted, select time spent, and set a daily time limit.
Restore Deleted Content
Did you know that you can restore deleted posts, Reels, and stories for up to 30 days? This comes in handy when you have accidentally deleted something or regretted deleting a post or story. Simply navigate to your activity on your home profile page, select recently deleted, tap on the specific content which you want to restore, and select restore!
Discover Places
You can easily tap on a location tag in a post and Instagram will automatically redirect you to that location! This is a great feature to discover hidden gems and small restaurants and businesses. This also allows for small business owners to become more discoverable and will bring more traffic to their stores.
These are just a few of the features Instagram have released, and there is no doubt that they are already working on additional features to be released in the coming months! We hope that you have enjoyed this article and be sure to read more on the latest social media news on our website!
