Apple iOS 14 Leaks Reveal More Customization For iPhone Home Screens – Corporate B2B Sales & Digital Marketing Agency in Cardiff covering UK

Ahead of WWDC this year, Apple enthusiasts might have been offered a sneak peek at the iOS software update.

First off, new screenshots obtained by leaker @DongleBookPro, who has a fairly reputable track record for predicting new Apple releases, show a new wallpaper picker in iOS 14. The update not only reveals new wallpaper designs, but also includes categories for them so users can select backgrounds easily.

In addition, users might soon be able to set their wallpapers as “dynamic,” “flat,” or “gradient,” in addition to dimming them in dark mode, a feature introduced in iOS 13. These options appear under a ‘Home Screen Appearance’ menu that lets you tweak your home screen à la Apple Watch’s watch face settings.

9to5Mac also uncovered a forthcoming ability to install real widgets in the home screen, as opposed to the pinned widgets in older versions, in the iOS 14’s code.

The Apple-based news site detailed that the widgets can be dragged and dropped, just like you would move app icons around. However, it is unclear if Apple will retain the feature in the finalized iOS 14.

iOS 14 is expected to be announced at Apple’s WWDC developers event, which will be digital-only in response to the COVID-19 crisis. A date for the keynote hasn’t been determined.
