2. TechCrunch: YouTube’s New Audio Ad Format

If you’re looking for new formats for your advertising efforts, this new product from YouTube might be worth trying. This type of format is meant to target those who may be playing a video, but aren’t necessarily looking at the screen. For example,  if you’re playing music but you’re working out and not looking at the music video. Or maybe you’re listening to a podcast on your phone while you work.

3. Marketing Brew: Twitter Launches a Story Feature Called “Fleets”

If you have had those moments where you wanted to write a reaction to a live show or simply wanted to comment on current events – this new feature from Twitter may be for you. Twitter now joins Snapchat and Instagram in having the option to create disappearing content that you can share with your followers for 24 hours.

4. Social Media Today: Instagram Updates the UI for its Threads App

If you’re not exactly familiar with Instagram’s Threads app, you’re not the only one. The standalone app was released about a year ago and provides a place where you can interact with and send updates to the users on your “close friends” list.

With the new UI updates, you’ll now be able to see all your Instagram messages on the app (not limited to the messages with your close friends). Plus, Threads introduced a new “auto-status” option, where your status will get updated with an emoji based on things like how much battery your phone has, your current location, or even your movement.
