Position Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Position Type: Full time – temporary

Position Description and Qualifications:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• In collaboration with the communications team, provide ideas and recommendations regarding digital strategies to compliment various corporate communications plans and campaigns.
• Working with the Graphic Designer and Content Creator, create and develop graphics to be used for weekly, monthly, or annual digital/online campaigns.
• Review and prepare a system to monitor and report on web traffic, and social media return on investment (ROI).
• Monitor search engine optimization (SEO) and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
• Assist in monitoring and updating social media, website, and other Town digital platforms.
• Research digital/photo platforms and provide recommendations on potential options and implementation strategy.
• Sort current digital media assets into a manageable and searchable library.
• Review new digital technologies and social media best practices and provide recommendations.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Post-Secondary Digital Marketing or Communications program, or completion of a related Degree, Diploma or Certificate.
• Advanced knowledge of social media marketing and platforms (specifically Facebook, Twitter and YouTube).
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience with Hootsuite or other social content management systems is an asset.
• Working knowledge with web content management systems such as WordPress.
• Passion and interest in all facets of digital marketing and graphic design.
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment.
• Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
