Plano-based enterprise solutions provider CloudMellow has acquired Idea Marketing Group, a Chicago-based website design company and digital marketing agency.
CloudMellow offers branding, web design, digital marketing, application & product development, hosting and managed services to an array of industries.
“This acquisition is a collaborative strategy to strengthen our capabilities around search engine optimization and search engine marketing in this ever-changing landscape,” CloudMellow founders Shreyans Jain and Vijay Konda said in a joint statement. They added that the acquisition will help CloudMellow provide niche enterprise digital solutions to its clients.
Additionally, the acquisition will further strengthen CloudMellow’s portfolio of award-winning digital agencies, the founders said. Most recently, CloudMellow was recognized by Inc. magazine on the 2023 Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies list.

Founded in 2009, Idea Marketing Group provides website design, hosting solutions and digital marketing services with capabilities that include creative, UI/UX, mobile applications, software development, and search engine marketing.
Idea Marketing is recognized in Clutch as a top website design firm. Since its founding, the company has enlisted high-profile clients ranging from mid-size businesses to Fortune 50 clients.
Idea Marketing Group delivers services to a robust list of companies mostly within the health, education, finance, and non-profit sectors, the company said.
Idea Marketing Group Key Principal Darren Fox will stay on board along with his team of designers, developers, digital marketers, and project managers, the company said. The Chicago firm will now be called Idea Marketing Group, a CloudMellow company.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition to its Dallas headquarters, CloudMellow has offices in Jacksonville, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Indi; and now Chicago.
CloudMellow also owns Primary360, a Boston digital marketing company best known for its award-winning creative work in the real estate marketing space, and The Creative Momentum, an award-winning enterprise website design and managed services company.
