Filmmaker David Lynch has revisited his mid-2000s weather reports amid the current coronavirus pandemic, kicking off his first weather report in 10 years earlier this month.
On 17 May 2020, he returned with another weather forecast. “Here in LA, we had some fog earlier but it’s burning off,” Lynch said in the video. “Some wispy clouds all turning to blue skies, golden sunshine, very still,” he added.
The Mulholland Drive director recently told VICE that he has been creating electric light holders as a hobby indoors.
Speaking of pastimes during the virus crisis, Lynch suggested a plethora of options others can undertake at home, including drawing, painting, cooking, writing poems, penning stories that can be filmed in the future, building little things and more.
“So many things can happen in a small space,” he encouraged, before adding that staying at home can present “an opportunity for a bunch of different experiments.”
