Hello, my name is Sarah Fenwick, thank you for your interest in Digital Marketing for Musicians.
It’s exciting to share my perspectives on marketing for musicians.
In addition to being a professional jazz singer, I worked in online marketing in senior marketing positions for various sectors since 2004, even before Social Media was introduced.
My company Jazz Arts & Communications is a digital marketing and video productions consultancy in Cyprus, run by myself and my husband Director Savvas Hadjigeorgiou.
My parallel career as a Jazz singer has also contributed to my marketing career, because it is a purely creative and improvisational art.
In addition to technology and community, these two aspects – creativity and improvisation – are what have made the Internet into the gigantic international community it is today, and I’m proud and happy to work with my clients to make sure they are getting what they need from the online markets.
Let’s start with a couple of definitions. Marketing Communications (marcomms) are techniques, systems and styles for promoting your brand or individuality. Jazz standards are classic songs that have stood the test of time and changing tastes.
As a jazz singer, I always wondered why some songs lasted longer than others, and as a marketing communications consultant, I always wondered why some brands lasted longer than others. It turns out that in both cases, it’s mostly to do with quality, memories and strong emotions.
I believe in holistic marketing. In its traditional sense, being holistic means applying the good energetic values of love, gratitude, positivity and compassion and looking at our work as having a bigger purpose. It is the opposite of the more short-term idea of materialism, which when taken to the extreme, means unpleasant or excessive greed and selfishness.
Holistic marketing is like live music. When you plug it into an ‘attention amplifier’ like Facebook, you spread good vibes that are irresistible!
The word holistic has another connotation, meaning unified or all-in-one, and it’s these two perspectives – the all-encompassing, broad view and, taking it a step further, the spreading of positive vibes – that I want to explore with you in my E-Book Marketing for Musicians.

“I met Sarah at Sarah’s jazz club in Nicosia. The club is magical and Sarah is a very fascinating person and singer. I did not know she worked in the music marketing too so I decided to buy her ebook. I loved it. It is a very useful introduction on the topic and it’s never boring, you will read it in a moment! She will also be available to help/work with you in case you need to go deeper into the topic, and that’s a plus!”
