Gaurav Jain in conversation with QNA India talks about his Digital Marketing scope and current scenario in India.

In the world full of digital marketing
service providers, what makes your company different?

Gaurav: See,
Digital Marketing Ecosystem in India is still in a growing phase and we have
tremendous opportunities lying to develop this ecosystem by helping start-ups
to become brands and brands to touch new heights subject to economic conditions.
Well said the world is full of Digital Marketing Service Provides but how many
of them can sustained? This is the beauty of this ecosystem. Each and every
ecosystem is when in booming phase witness a lots of entrants and with same
pace they get disappeared. If I talk about Delhi & NCR only, every second
company is a Digital Marketing Service Provider but starting a Digital
Marketing Company is not tough task is to keep up with the pace, to keep
yourself and your team updated with the new developments in the industry and
doing right to your clients.

Me and my founding team has an experience
of 5 to 6 years in the industry, so when we were planning to start our company
we focused on result-oriented service approach and to keep the ecosystem clean.
Our focus has always been to work with people who know their product well and
can help us know their product well only then we can help them achieving the
desired objectives. We do not act as an outside organization for our clients
but we act as their digital marketing wing, so we can perform well and give the
result that our client is looking forward which has helped us keeping ourselves
sustained and different from others.

Our very first client was Deliver My Diet
they had very limited budgets and had very limited location but the good thing
was they started with social media marketing around 6 months prior to the
launch which was a very smart move for them. They crossed 1,000 orders in the
very initial week and client has to stop communication on social media, since
they were not able to handle due to small team size.

Do you think digital marketing is
exhausting as a profession?

Gaurav: No
according to me digital marketing as a profession is not exhausting because
digital Marketing is a dynamic industry where things keep on changing and new
challenges keep coming, what you were trying to do 6 months ago may not work
now or something that wasn’t working 6 months ago can work now. As a digital
marketing practitioner you need to keep yourself updated and apart from that
when you interview candidates for different job roles in the industry you will
find 3-4 candidates out of 100 who will be good enough or I can say
knowledgeable enough to fit for the job role. The reason is most of the digital
marketing training institutes, don’t focus on skill based learning but they
focus more on 10-15 certificates and as a business owner we don’t need those
certificate holders, who can’t do their job properly.

As the technology keeps on changing
rapidly, how difficult it becomes to learn everything and provide services to
the customers?

Gaurav: That’s
the beauty of this industry! To understand if it really gets difficult or not
we need to firstly understand why technology keeps changing so rapidly? The reason
is to update itself and resolve the previous bugs in the platforms. Whenever
someone is working on a technology, the focus is to solve problems and the
reason for updating that technology is to make the new version better than the
previous one. With each and every update to the technology previous bugs are
fixed and believe me if you are passionate enough in this industry and keeping
yourself update than technology change may not impact you much until you are
not doing something that is against the platform. Whenever new update hit a
platform I’m quite excited as it helps me understand the platform better.

As a service provider, when you have
solution to new problems you tend to get more clients and can offer new things
to your previous clients. So, it is quite win-win situation if you are really
ready to adopt those changes and if you don’t then platform may get kick you
out of the industry.

When you design a marketing campaign for
a client, what is the primary thing which you keep in mind?

Gaurav: When
designing a marketing campaign for a client we focus on two things:

Our campaigns lies between the intersection
of where client objectives meet the available resources. The client I told you
about earlier “Deliver My Diet” had very limited resources but their patience
and out team’s consistency brought them good results when they were finally
ready to serve their healthicious food.

What
more are you planning to do in the future?

Gaurav: Currently
we are looking forward to expand ourselves in other verticals of this industry
and working on various collaborations. There is a lot in process, you will
witness all of them in near future.
