Motor Media: The Experts Behind Viral Digital Marketing

The average business makes 90 cents for every 1 dollar they put into digital marketing. Motor Media has flipped the switch on this. They have gained attention in recent months for their clients’ breakout growth, often far exceeding anything previously thought possible. No matter the type of digital marketing, they somehow find ways to create unbelievable success for their clients.

One client that Motor Media Solutions works with saw a 52% increase in sales, 118% increase in website traffic, and a 112% increase in SEO impressions. The craziest part about that is that traffic came from SEO. Often, marketing professionals say that SEO is dying and that it is impossible to grow. Yet, Motor Media found a way to overcome the competition, which makes SEO so hard.

Another client was struggling to make digital advertising profitable before Motor Media. CPMs (cost per 1,000 views) were high, clicks were low, and they had no idea where to turn. In less than 2.5 weeks, Motor Media had turned the account around and helped them scale from $600 per month in ad spend to over $400 per day in ad spend. That client shared an email saying, ‘I am thoroughly impressed with their work!’

The two co-founders, Nate Tarter & Tanner Wendel, have figured out a way to make clients succeed regardless of platform or industry. Here is their simple process of how they’ve seen such explosive success:

First, find your hole. Just like when running the ball in football, you need to find your gap in the market. Often people’s thought process is: product + digital advertising = sales. That thinking is completely wrong. If it is just a product, anyone can copy you. Aim to make your product stand out, either via branding, quality, meaning, or feeling. You just can’t do something anyone can do.

Second, hit the target. Just like when you are throwing the ball in football, you need to hit your target. Often, brand targeting is too simple, e.g., ‘My target is anyone wanting footballs.’ Although technically correct, it lacks all the specifics needed to be successful in targeting. Think of who the average person is that is looking for a football. Break it down into demographics: age, gender, interests, and competitor loyalties.

Third, close it out. Just like on defense in football, you need to close out a series; you need to close out the sale, deal, or client. Often, people think that others should buy just because they have a product or service they need. That is the first step, but now we need to give them a reason to like you. 95% of all buyers buy based on emotions. Give them a reason to like you, and you will always have people buying.
