EDMONTON SCREEN INDUSTRIES OFFICE PRESENTS DISCOVERABILITY WORKSHOP: CREATING ACTIONABLE DIGITAL MARKETING PLANS

(ESIO, Edmonton, AB) On Thursday November 28, the Edmonton Screen Industries Office (ESIO) will host a discoverability training workshop produced by Magnify Digital Inc.  Creators who are new to discoverability and those wanting advanced training should both find value in attendance.  This training will also help Canadian content creators succeed when applying for funding.

The workshop will equip emerging creators with a high-level overview of best practices and funding requirements.  Trainers will offer a short (75 mins) morning session where attendees will learn about the 5 steps to building and measuring audience development strategies for their film, TV or web content.  A longer, intensive session in the afternoon (3 hrs) will dig into the key components of a discoverability strategy, revealing the tactics for building and budgeting an actionable plan.  Elizabeth Friesen, Executive Director of the TELUS Fund, will be on hand to take meetings with producers.

“If you have yet to discover the true meaning of discoverability or are scratching your head about how best to leverage audience analytics, we can help. We teach content creators how to find, engage, and track audiences online. Whether you’re a single shingle producer, a large production company, an industry association, celebrity talent or just plain curious, Magnify Digital provides you what you need for your next “A-HA!” moment.”

As part of its programming mandate, the ESIO is hosting the workshop free of charge for Edmonton-based screen content creators.  Attendance is limited to 35 and registration will be on a first come-first served basis.  Anyone interested in participating is asked to send an e-mail to: [email protected] with the subject heading “ESIO DISCOVERABILITY TRAINING WORKSHOP”.

Lunch will be provided by AMPIA (Alberta Media Production Industries Association).
