Google will be launching a lineup of widgets for Apple’s iOS 14 in the coming days.
The tech giant has introduced new Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Fit widgets that aim to boost productivity for iPhone users.
The Gmail section will let users swiftly view unread emails, search their inboxes and compose new emails without the need to open the app. Similarly, the Google Drive widget will let users browse through documents and files from the home screens.
The Google Fit widget will track users’ activities with a quick view of their Heart Points and Steps data.
Google will also debut a Calendar widget “in the coming weeks,” while a Chrome widget that allows users to search, use an incognito web browser, and more from the home screen will arrive next year.
These widgets will be available once the Google apps are installed in iOS 14-optimized devices. You can easily press and hold onto your home screen to enable the ‘Edit Home Screen’ function. Then, tap on the ‘+’ button on the upper left side of your screen to launch Widgets, where the Google features will be available.
If the features aren’t present, do wait and check later on, because Google is still rolling out the widgets.
