How to Create Systems to Simplify your Digital Marketing Efforts

1. Create a content calendar

No matter which outlet you choose, be sure that you’re creating a content calendar to keep track of which content is going out on which days. This can be as simple as filling in a monthly Excel spreadsheet which has all of your posts, interviews, and collabs scheduled out.

Not only will a content calendar help you stay organized, but it will give you the opportunity to be more strategic about when you release what. Once you’ve assessed which posts or topics draw the most interest and engagement (and at what time of day), you can begin to strategically adapt your content calendar to make sure you’re getting the most out of what you’re delivering.

You might be wondering how you’re getting this social media data, which brings us to the next strategy!

2.Implement a customer relationship management system (or CRM)

A customer relationship management system is a software which allows you to track your business’s sales, social media engagement, customer interactions, and other stats, all in one place!

Hubspot
is gold standard for CRM, and is used by most businesses. This is probably because they offer a free edition which gives you extensive features, all while being intuitive, comprehensive and user-friendly.

mondayCRM
and
Pipedrive
as two other great options for small-businesses in particular. MondayCRM offers small-businesses the flexibility they need, all while being accessible and 100% customizable (no coding needed). Pipedrive is the runner-up, with a call, email, and contact history tracking feature, and an appealing user interface.

Remember, you can always try out a few different CRMs before you find the right one for you and your brand’s unique needs.

Next, we’ll dive into how using a CRM can give your customers an amazing experience with your brand, all while saving you time!

Create a system which guarantees your customers a memorable experience

Your customers want to know they’re your top priority and there are plenty of ways you can ensure that they’re being taken care of without burning yourself out. This is where your CRM comes in!

Most client management software programs offer features which allow you to give your customers updates, or send follow-up or check-ins emails which helps them feel like you care. For example, in e-commerce this could look like abandoned cart recovery (that  friendly reminder they left things in their shopping bag) or shipping notifications and updates, (because we all know how impatient we can get when waiting for a package to arrive!).

Make a list of the ways you want to prioritize your customer and be sure to find a CRM that will help you meet that goal. Sometimes you can automate things with email marketing platforms like

Mailchimp, Omnisend,
Mailerlite,
Klavio, just to name a few.
