Ikea to release its second shop and e-commerce operations by March 2019

After releasing its very first shop in Hyderabad in August, Swedish furnishings company – IKEA – will be opening its 2nd store in Mumbai in March 2019. The business will also be launching its e-commerce operations by March next year.

“Ikea will develop a multichannel experience for its customers in India. It will release ecommerce in Mumbai early next summer season (March) and introduce other touch points to bring the brand name better to consumers,” IKEA India Chief Executive Officer Peter Betzel informed news company, PTI.The company is also planning a financial investment worth Rs 2,000 crore to establish and expand its operation in Bengaluru. The 5 lakh square feet shop will be operational by summer of 2020.

The business has opened 19 new outlets around the world in the past one year, including its very first in Hyderabad and Latvia in August. In general, the company has existence in over 50 cities in the world.Regarding online
