Appointment follows revenue growth of 25%
Huddersfield based communications agency KC Communications has appointed digital marketing apprentice, Chloe Kerfoot, as the firm ends its financial year with revenues increasing by 25%.
Having originally undertaken a work placement with the firm while a student at Mirfield Free Grammar in 2017, Chloe went on to Huddersfield New College to undertake A levels in English, Media and Business before commencing her apprenticeship at the beginning of August. Alongside her role, Chloe will also study for a level 3 Digital Marketing qualification with Leeds based, Estio Training.
Since Chloe joined the firm she has already played an active role in undertaking researching, creating and scheduling social media content, uploading content to client websites and implementing SEO across sites.
Commenting on Chloe’s appointment, Katrina Cliffe, managing director said: “Having started out my own career journey as an apprentice 21 years ago, I am delighted to welcome Chloe to the team. After Chloe spent a week with us in 2017 and subsequently demonstrating her eagerness to kick start her career in digital marketing she seemed the natural choice as the business continues with its ambitious growth plans. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and supporting Chloe as she embarks on her career”.
Chloe added: “I knew very early on that the apprenticeship route was for me having undertaken a number of work placements while at high school. These placements enabled me to identify which subjects to study at A Level to give me the best possible chance of starting my career in digital marketing. Having spent a week with the team in 2017 I was extremely excited to see an opportunity available with KC Communications. Following my appointment I have had the opportunity to get stuck in with daily activities. With everything going on in the world right now, I am very grateful to be sitting here today pursuing the start of my dream career, whilst earning and learning. For me this was the right decision and I hope I can inspire other individuals that these amazing opportunities are out there if you work hard and keep looking”.
KC Communications was founded in 2014 and works with clients including Heald Ltd, Round Foundry & Marshalls Mill, Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (Propel@YH), Bramleys, Specialist Glass Products, Sheards Accountancy and many more.
