Larry, the famous resident stray cat of 10 Downing Street, is getting into pawlitics. However, he isn’t here to vie for a spot in Parliament; instead, he is here to educate the citizens on the importance of voting.
Larry’s “election campaign”—or more formally, the advertising company that is using him as the face of its newest project—is Don’t Panic London, which has set out to encourage democratic supporters to do their part.
Part of Larry’s “meow-festo” Larry 4 Leader is that having a choice means having a voice, and he wants citizens to stand up for their beliefs, whether it is choosing to play with string, a toy mouse, or voting for the right people.
You had your chance Liz and Rishi, but it’s time for a real leader. #Larry4Leader #YesWeCat pic.twitter.com/xDxqb0EbSg

Don’t Panic’s co-founder, Joe Wade, also states that the Tories—the opposition party—are only made up of 160,000 people in the country. However, due to a lack of voting and proper political education, the lives of everyone else appear to be constantly placed in the hands of the minority.
Larry’s campaign is also fully equipped with promotional posters, a fully-fledged website, and even backing from actors. The campaign also states that the feline is determined to distribute treats to the population and vows not to be in any “Downing Street parties.”
Fewer than 160,000 old people in the south-east are deciding who will be the new PM. That’s why @DontPanic are throwing their cat in the ring &backing No10 feline Larry for leader. He’s the under-cat but the billboard campaign is already underway! #voteLarry #Larry4Leader pic.twitter.com/t9tJ2FhJwo
