Marketplace for Kids Returning to Jamestown in 2019
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Marketplace for Kids set out with the thought that no matter how young, kids can begin taking interest in a career.
To give these students in grades 3-8, Marketplace for Kids has teamed up with communities statewide for Education Days, one-of-a-kind experiences where students explore careers, technology, and the future through hands-on activities that are rooted in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Bob Heitkamp is the Executive Director of Marketplace for Kids. He says in 2019, the event returns to Jamestown for its 25th year. Heitkamp says the organization actually started in Jamestown and has grown to encompass the entire state.
He says education day has doctors, ambulance crews, police, racecar drivers, sanitation crews, drone pilots, and more showing what they do and well as providing some hands-on opportunities for the students.
