Marketplace Phase 2 Brings New Energy To the Riverfront

Structure on the momentum of previous contributions to the riverfront, Gillespie Group kick-started a new period of energy for the city with the official ribbon cutting event for the Market Phase II houses and MP Social.At the ceremony

, Lansing Mayor Andy Schor and Gillespie Group President, Pat Gillespie, talked to the effect each advancement has had on the neighborhood. From its inception, the motivation behind MP Social was to bring discussion, positive ambiance and quality plates and drinks to the Lansing community, while the new phase of Marketplace apartments expanded locals’ access to unique living experiences in the heart of downtown.Since opening in March, Marketplace Stage II is 98 percent leased while MP Social’s “March to your own Beet” margarita took leading honors at the 2018 Margarita Fest, sealing the developments’ location in the neighborhood as enduring fixtures to what can be accomplished through revitalization.

“Through MP Social and Market Stage II we have worked with the city to energize its core in new ways and bring more than just brand-new residential choices downtown. We’ve worked to create areas that accommodate the lifestyles of those that wish to live here and develop chances for people to link,” Gillespie said.Following the official

ceremony, community members relaxed and mingled while enjoying the downtown riverfront views from MP Social and explored the trend-setting Market houses and features consisting of a pet washing station, physical fitness center and a rooftop patio area overlooking the river.”Lansing’s time is now. public Wednesday through Sunday. The restaurant is centrally situated on the Grand River at 313 N. Cedar St., inside of the second stage of Marketplace apartment or condos.
