NOTMC and NOMTN to Host Workshop on Digital Marketing for Small, Diverse Businesses as part of “In It to Win It” Series

By The New Orleans Tribune

On Monday, Sept. 16 from 6 pm – 8 pm, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) and the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network (NOMTN) will present its fourth session of “In It To Win It,” a series of workshops and panel discussions aimed at helping local, diverse-owned businesses in New Orleans capture more revenue from New Orleans’ growing tourism economy.

Hosted at Ashé’s Power House Theatre, 1731 Baronne Street, the free interactive workshop will teach attendees how to boost their search rankings in Google, how to leverage social media channels, and the basics of how search marketing and social media can work together to boost business.

The session will be taught by experts from 360i, NOTMC’s international-award-winning agency of record, and will provide essential tools to help guests get started with digital marketing. The first half of the program will provide an overview of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and feature three things participants can do to improve how their business shows up on Google’s search results pages.

The second half of the program will focus on social media, with takeaways on how to use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms to find and connect with target audiences through effective, low-cost campaigns.

An audience Q&A will follow the discussion with 360i experts. Guests in attendance will be provided with handouts and direct training resources and will enjoy light bites from NOMTN members Chef Gary Netter of Next To Eat and a specialty cocktail, Justini Cocktails, by Jessica Robinson while networking with other local businesses.

Seating is limited, so attendees are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible on the  workshop’s Eventbrite page.
