PRX Welcomes Gretchen Borzi as Senior Director of Brand, Creative, and Digital Marketing

Public media organization is pleased to announce Gretchen Borzi joined the staff beginning January 3, 2022.

Borzi joins PRX as Senior Director of Brand, Creative, and Digital Marketing, a key creative position on the marketing team. Overseeing the organization’s brand strategy, creative design, web strategy, and digital arm of the marketing division, Borzi will also guide campaign development and management of PRX’s digital and social platforms in order to engage listening audiences, donors, and creators. In addition, Borzi will forge new pathways to build awareness and to drive conversation around PRX and its audio content partners. A partner to storytellers, journalists, and acclaimed independent creators, PRX is a leading distributor and producer of public radio programming and of podcasts heard by millions.

An experienced marketing and arts professional, Borzi previously served as the Director of Marketing and Audience Development for the world-renowned Boston Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestras (BSO), as well as the annual summer music festival at Tanglewood in western Massachusetts. Her tenure at the BSO spanned 15 years. Integral to the organization’s strategic transition to engaging audiences through a multichannel, digital-first approach, Borzi has helped to engage millions of listeners while supporting live performances and events at iconic venues including Symphony Hall and the Hatch Shell in Boston. Borzi’s work has also supported education programs for children and adults, and initiatives designed to welcome all members of the community. Recently, Borzi’s promotion of BSO NOW — the orchestra’s video streaming platform — has captured the attention of music lovers across the globe at a time when in-person live performances have been missed. Borzi has also served as a marketing consultant for the North Shore Music Theatre based in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Borzi reports to Donna Hardwick, Chief Marketing Officer at PRX.
