Publicom Earns Gold for Digital Marketing

Pandemic vaccine eblast recognized for creative excellence 

OKEMOS, Mich. — Publicom Inc., a full-service marketing communications firm, has earned a gold award in the national Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards competition.

The winning entry is an eblast that encourages an internal audience to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. It was judged on creativity, marketing execution, message impact, technology application, and innovative content. Entries were received from nearly 1,000 health care and medical institutions across the country.

“Receiving a national gold award for our digital work affirms Publicom’s vast creative skillset across a variety of mediums,” said Lisa O’Connor, Publicom president. “Digital marketing is an ever-evolving tactic that has become even more important during the pandemic. Today, creativity in all mediums is essential to effective marketing communications.”

The eblast was created for Smile America Partners, Farmington Hills, a national dental service organization specializing in mobile dentistry to bring school-based care to at-risk children.

“What I love most about working with Publicom is that they are not order-takers,” said Eric Tolkin, Smile America Partners chief marketing officer. “There isn’t an assignment I’ve given them in the past several years that they didn’t step back and ask me what exactly I’m trying to accomplish.
