Welcome back, marketers, to another exciting and insightful episode of Infidigit’s Weekly Round-up News series, where we collate top digital marketing news from around the world and present you in this special series.

First, we will take a look at major updates about Google:

Google Search App

Google Search App prevents users from saving Images From Google Image Search. Different users reported this issue in the Google Web Search Help forums. To tackle the challenge, Google’s product team is working on the issue.

Next is the Shopping Filter Button in Google Search. Google is currently testing a filter button for shopping-related query refinement that appears above the search results. For example, let’s look at this example where we see shopping-related refinements such as brand, length, leg style, material, pattern, style, speciality, reviews, nearby, sales, and more.

Next, let’s talk about Microsoft Bing:

Bing Tests Coupons In Search Results

If you search for some brands like Nike, Adidas, etc., you may see Microsoft Bing show a coupon element in the search result snippet. This was reported by Frank Sandtmann, a German SEO consultant. You can see an example of the coupon element on the screen.

Finally, let’s move to the social media section:

Twitter Removes Nofollow Attribute From Links

Twitter has removed the nofollow attribute from its links. Barry Schwartz reported this news on Search Engine Land on Friday after Chris Silver Smith, CEO at Argent Media, posted about it on Twitter.

Instagram Tests Full-Screen Format For Its Main Feed

Instagram has launched an updated version of its new full-screen main feed test, which expands Instagram posts be it static images, videos or Reels into a full-height and swipeable flow of all different types of IG content.
