(SGP-Singapore) Assistant Director of Digital Marketing and Communications

Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is looking for a Assistant Director of Digital Marketing and Communications who is able to implement public relations and marketing initiatives as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing and working in collaboration to propose and carry out a sound digital strategy with the aim of providing a better search experience for potential guests and in turn drive incremental revenue.

Day to day Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

FINANCIAL RETURNS
• Conceptualising, providing creative direction and developing copy write for promotions mainly Food & Beverage in nature and at times for Rooms, MICE and Weddings
• Translate data insights derived from website, EDM and social media analytics to improve digital touchpoints and aid the Marketing Communications department to achieve its Key Performance Objectives (KPOs)
• Develops a public relations programme for the hotel based on its marketing goals. Liaise with Marketing in targeting specific markets and developing the public relations strategies to reach these markets
• Develops media contacts, plans press conferences and other press activities. Acts as hotel’s liaison with media to promote good publicity and counteract bad publicity
• Develops and organizes promotional activities, coordinates with departments concerned; invites media to promotional activities; prepares and issues press releases
• Establishes a programme for sending promotional news to trade publications on a regular basis releases covering special events, promotions, etc
• Plans and coordinates sponsorship activities
• Builds profile within local market place through attendance at various events and local market place
• Establishes sales leads from the study of magazine, newspapers and form personal contacts; coordinates sales leads with Banqueting and Sales Departments

PEOPLE
• To support the collation of packages and promotions through the artwork request form which are submitted by respective Department Heads and with this information, generate content for collaterals, EDMs and social media
• To maintain and manage an up-to-date and accurate database as well as propose activities to drive an acquisition strategy
• Direct designers to compose visually appealing collateral (print and digital) driven by creativity but where applicable within the confines of the brand standards
• Co-direct all photo and video shoots and upkeep an archive of all visual material the hotel has at its disposal
• Works with superior in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget • Accepts media complaints, requests, and inquires and coordinates handling with departments concerned
• Review channel performance. Highlight risks, opportunities, and provide recommendations to the management team.
• Leverage Best Price Guarantee across all channels supporting direct bookings to brand websites that will result in better revenues and stronger guest loyalty.
• Facilitate hotel adoption to IHG new tools and systems
• Coordinate media familiarisation tours and site inspections as required
• Ensure all hotel collateral specified within the brand standards are aligned
• Develops digital marketing strategy to deliver the performance of the hotel, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.
• Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
• Developing strategies to drive online traffic to hotel’s website and social media platforms
• Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
• Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
• Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
• Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

GUEST EXPERIENCE
• Overall responsibility for Social Media (Facebook, TripAdvisor etc) relevant to the hotel’s source market
• Respond to questions and comments on social media channels and to respond to guest reviews on TripAdvisor

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications/Communications and Media Management/New Media/Digital Media & Marketing or Business, Hospitality and Tourism with 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar field.

Required Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to interact with guests, team members and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company
• Passion for marketing, social media and digital marketing with the openness to explore new digital trends that will keep the hotel abreast with the latest technological developments and enhance productivity
• Excellent writing skills
• Well organised, meticulous with a great sense of aesthetics
• Able to multi-task and work well independently as well as with different stakeholders
• Positive attitude and a keen interest to learn
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Photography skills and knowledge of photo-shop is a plus
