Smart Collar That Tracks ‘Cat-Like Behavior’ Will Help You Read Your Pet Better – Corporate B2B Sales & Digital Marketing Agency in Cardiff covering UK

Cats are, to this day, mysterious creatures. Sometimes we catch them staring and can’t help but wonder if it’s a look of admiration or all part of a grand, anti-human plot. Either way, they’re still the lovable creatures that we wish we knew a little better.

Innovations at CES 2022 have attempted to narrow the bridge between human and pet, and one of them is ‘Catlog’. This aptly-named device comes in the form of a collar that tracks and senses the cat’s movements and habits, faithfully reporting to the owner.

It’s sort of like a FitBit for your cat, yes.

Designed by Japanese company RABO, the smart collar is said to track “cat-like behavior,” according to . This includes sleeping, sitting down, washing themselves, and even—shock, horror—moving around.

All of this data is fed back to an app in real-time, and can be accessed later on in the day to see the frequency of these activities.

Any significant health changes that might signify an underlying condition will trigger an alert prompting the owner to check in with their pet.

It’s suitable for cats of all ages, since different life stages have different concerns. For example, a kitten’s weight and growth will require close monitoring, while sleep patterns of a senior cat will help to ensure optimal health.

Offered alongside the Catlog collar is the Catlog Board, a slim device that can be placed underneath the kitty’s litter box. This will track any changes in weight, as well as the cat’s bathroom habits, and also feeds back into the app.

reports that Yukiko Iyo, cat lover and CEO of RABO, possesses a master’s degree in bio-logging science, which has undoubtedly aided the development of Catlog.

Another similar invention is ‘Inupathy’, akin to a fitness wearable designed specifically for man’s best friend.
