Dansyn Innovation Social Organization (ISO), a not for profit technology-driven, youth-oriented organisation in the Upper East Region is set to train some 30 young individuals in Digital Marketing.
Speaking with A1 Radio, the Programmes Manager at Dansyn ISO, Stephen Maldima Tobigah said young people, particularly those in the Upper East Region need to be equipped with digital skills to be able to survive in the fast-paced technologically driven world.
“Because of the rapidly changing nature of technology, digital skills have been a priority in recent years. As a result, there is a pressing need for everyone [particularly the youth] to acquire these digital abilities. This will enable them to enlist the help of the essential digital technologies to solve the challenges that have been identified,” he said.
The 8-week training along with a scheduled month-long internship is being run by Dansyn ISO together with MEST with support from Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Works. The Digital Marketing Training targets young people aged between 18 and 35.
The goal of this program is to provide Digital Marketing skills to at least 30 people [both females and males].
“With the help of the aforementioned organization, recruiting centres around the country gathered interested persons/youth who were eager to participate in this program. The goal of the recruiting process was to find 30 qualified young people to participate in the Digital Marketing Training. After attaining this target, MEST and the country’s training hubs organized an onboarding event for the 30 eligible candidates in the Digital Marketing Training”.
“On February 28th, 2022, the onboarding event took place. The purpose of the event was to inform chosen applicants about the Digital Marketing Training that will commence on March 8, 2022. The applicants that were chosen also got the opportunity to speak with alumni from previous Digital Marketing Training. The candidates also had the opportunity to connect with the MEST team during a Q&A session,” he said.
Recently, Danysn ISO Startup Summit in Bolgantanga, the regional capital of the Upper East Region. The summit, which took place on January 14, 2022, provided the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to meet business leaders and investors within the Upper East Region.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, the CEO of Dansyn ISO, Daniel Nang reiterated the hub’s commitment to building up the youth of the Upper East Region with employable skills to use in their search for jobs and also to help build their own businesses. He said with some key partnerships with development organisations, Dansyn Innovation Social Organization has been able to train hundreds of young people in the area of digital skills.
