Job Description:

The TCS Education System Marketing team is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO Specialist) to join the Marketing department on the Digital Team .

The Digital Marketing SEO Specialist (SEO Specialist) supports the marketing department’s strategic digital marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on website properties and SEO . They will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and implementing website strategies that improve performance. They will assist in the strategies and execution of content development to include keywords or phrases to increase traffic to website(s). They will conduct various testing methods in design, layout, and advertising techniques to gain the most organic and paid traffic.

The Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO Specialist) will be responsible for collaborating with the marketing team in support of the System’s five partner colleges and universities. The ideal candidate is a team player who can think both strategically and creatively, and who understands ROI . They will be competent, confident, and driven, adept at decision-making and problem-solving, and will have a positive attitude. They will possess initiative and good judgment and will be conscientious and trustworthy .

The position is a hybrid schedule with two days a week in the office and three days a week working remotely.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIM I TED TO:

+ Support and execute projects related to content marketing, engagement growth , and SEO

+ Audit and analyze sites for areas that can be improved and optimized

+ Identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic

+ Partner with content team members and agencies in the development of SEO strategy

+ Update and optimize web page content e.g. titles, meta descriptions

+ Analyze and report keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors

+ Monitor, examine, and report search query behaviors on various search engines

+ Analyze, research, and report data and technologies to understand user intent and measure outcomes as part of ongoing site optimization.

+ Develop link building strategies

+ Research and research current trends to stay within search engine guidelines

+ Compile and present SEO guidelines

+ Work with external partners related to strategies

+ Other duties and project support as assigned

Position Requirements:

+ Knowledge in content marketing, content growth and SEO

+ Knowledge of search engine optimization practices

+ Outstanding ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently

+ Thorough understanding of branding principles and tactics throughout multiple forms of media

+ Strong organizational, time management, and analytics skills

+ Must have solid proficiency with MS Office software – particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Position Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or related concentration.

+ Minimum 1-2 years marketing experience with practical responsibilities across multiple marketing disciplines

+ Knowledge and familiarization with digital analytics tools (ex: Google Analytics, Moz, SEMRush , Brightedge , etc.) a plus

+ Experience in WordPress strongly preferred

+ Social media experience strongly preferred
