Hereford Cathedral is looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Assistant to support its digital and marketing activities, including social media, website, video and content creation. We are looking for an individual with a passion for marketing and digital technology to help as we transition into a more digitally confident organisation, and handle the rapid expansion of our digital marketing to the world. Our website, livestreaming activity, electronic screens and social media channels have taken on a much more significant role in communicating with our cathedral community, visitors and further afield, and we are now producing more digital content than ever before. As a result, our team have had to upskill and take on new responsibilities as the cathedral transitions to new ways of operating.
Although this is predominantly a digitally-based role, the successful candidate will also need to possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as a large part of this role will be assisting other members of the team who might be less digitally confident. There may also be a need for occasional evening and weekend work to offer support to events, services and activities.
The post commands an annual salary of £20,800 and is based in Hereford Cathedral’s attractive offices in the Cathedral Close. It is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week), with a six-month probation period, 20 days’ annual holiday and the opportunity to participate in a non-contributory pension scheme. The appointment of the successful candidate is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and will require a DBS check.
