Do Core Values really even matter?
I have to be honest, when I got started in my business, I didn’t think that I would need any of this- mission statements? Ugh! Core Values? Who cares!
However, I’ve realized that when are trying to make business decisions and have other people make decisions on behalf for our business, Core Values become very fundamental.
What I discovered was that when I actually took the time to uncover my core values for my business, it made EVERY decision easier:
Hiring? Check the Core Values.
Firing? Check the Core Values.
Delegating? Check the Core Values.
Is this the right thing for the business? Check the Core Values.
Is this a client fit? Check the Core Values.
It all comes back to having a succinct way to communicate what you are really about.
