Martech expert Scott Brinker has developed a taxonomy of the roles within marketing and marketing operations. It’s called the “5 Ms”: managers, marketers, masters, makers and modelers. It just may be that a person of those personalities– the modelers– is the most popular function in martech.
“Truly their knowledge is around the data, and this is not similar to looking at a control panel or, you know, running a report in Hubspot or something,” he said during a current Martech Live session.
