Women take centerstage on RIS’ Digital Marketing and e-Commerce training

The Department of Info and Communications Innovation (DICT), through its Rural Effect Sourcing (RIS) Technical Training Program, selected 25 ladies which will go through Digital Marketing and e-Commerce training course last September 21, 2018 at the Community Hall of Taytay, Rizal.RIS Technical Training for Women is an unique course under the RIS Technical Training Program to ensure that Filipinos especially females can compete in the industry particularly in the age of the Fourth industrial revolution.Trainees will undergo a 10-day in person sessions with practical exercises. A 21-day immersion will follow through wherein students will create digital project techniques for the MSMEs, which can be a place for their future collaboration.This training is in partnership with City government of Taytay, the International Labour Organization(ILO ), and JP Morgan. “We are grateful to be the federal government partner in this effort specifically now that innovation is said to be changing human workforce. We require to gear up Filipinos particularly the countryside with the ideal skills and knowledge that will prepare them as the labor force and workplace change.,” shares DICT’s ICT Industry Advancement Bureau Officer -in -Charge, Ms. Emmy Lou V.
