Google has launched a YouTube Video Builder tool with free beta access for brands to create short video adverts.
With the coronavirus pandemic forcing many to work remotely at home, in-person video shoots are no longer an option at present. This new tool can help brands continue making commercials amid the virus crisis to stay relevant in the digital landscape.
According to TechCrunch, the feature had been in the works ahead of the coronavirus crisis, but Google decided to release it prematurely for free to help brands in need.
The Video Builder tool allows small businesses to animate static assets such as text, images, and logos with the addition of music and transitions for quick video spots.
To utilize the tool, businesses will require a Google Account to access Gmail and YouTube. If they do not have a Google email, they can also opt to link their non-Google email addresses to a Google account. They can then create their own commercials, which will be linked to their own YouTube channel.
