9 Digital Marketing Podcasts That Are Definitely Worth a Listen

If there’s one thing I love about the digital marketing industry and the people within it, it’s the willingness to share knowledge. Not to be too gushy, but with so many incredible experts on hand who genuinely want to impart wisdom, it really is a fabulous industry to be a part of.

Diving into a free marketing webinar or tuning into your favourite monthly digital marketing podcast is often part and parcel of becoming the best version of your marketer self, especially when you’re first starting out.

Podcasts in particular have become a great way for folks to learn, understand and ruminate on different marketing topics – with familiar voices drawing you into conversations and their wider world.

It’s said that almost 22 million Brits have popped on a podcast in 2022, and the number of UK podcast listeners is set to increase to 28 million by 2026, according to Statista. This suggests that they won’t be going away anytime soon, and with good reason – they’re bloomin’ useful learning tools! Especially if you’re on the move or you don’t have time to read.

So, if you haven’t given them a try yet, maybe it’s time to hop on that bandwagon?

It’s Fun to Learn Stuff and Things

Podcasts can definitely make learning about marketing more fun, and if you have a brain like a sponge to soak it all up, it’s great! Until it’s not, though.

Information overload is a thing and knowing where to look for podcasts with credible sources and an opinion you can rely on can all get a bit foggy, particularly if you’re new to the game.

That’s where industry stalwarts like us come in.

Over the years, we’ve picked up on who’s worth paying attention to (and who isn’t) and worked out who’s going to provide you with the most reliable resources to add to your own tool kit.

To help you get ahead, we’ve put together a list of what we consider to be some of the best marketing podcasts out there. All of them are suitable for newbies and oldies alike, and are available across a range of platforms for your listening pleasure.

Enjoy!

Room 301 Podcast - 9 Marketing Podcasts That Are Worth a Listen - Boom Online Marketing

What: It would be a huge oversight from me if I didn’t include our very own podcast, Room 301, a new marketing podcast from Boom’s parent company, The Digital Maze.

Created to give marketing leaders (and anyone else that wants to connect the dots between business and marketing) an overview of what’s going on in the industry, providing useful insight into different areas of digital marketing and what that means for business.

Hosted by Rob, co-founder of The Digital Maze, and Beth, Growth Marketing Manager for the group, alongside industry experts they dig deep into digital marketing, covering everything from creative content and its place in your strategy, to PPC predictions and web design psychology.

I might be a bit biassed here because I was on it myself (because, you know, I’m a legend), but this is definitely one to add to your listen list as it continues to grow. Now, go catch up on the one’s you’ve missed!

Podcasts have reshaped the way we learn, and this evolution doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. As more and more people turn to digital channels as both a source of information and as a way to share expertise, the more we’re able to expose ourselves to new points of view and styles of teaching. Long may it continue I say.

Do let me know if there are any other marketing related podcasts that I should be checking out, I’m always open to trying new ones!
