At Wrapped we pride ourselves on being educators and run regular free workshops, Technical Tuesdays, held at our York studio.
This session was open to anyone looking to maximise results using a digital marketing strategy and was attended by a fascinating mix of marketers from sectors including education, healthcare and consumer goods.
Despite the cold weather, we had a room full of people eager to learn. The interactive session covered what a digital marketing strategy is and what it should include, why it is important and where to start. We also covered the importance of targeting, increasing performance through cross-channel activity, measuring success and staying agile. Many were surprised to learn that focusing on the online performance of their offline competitors isn’t always the best strategy. Often, unexpected businesses are your online competition (if you’re a children’s attraction your high ranking competitors could be anyone from a lifestyle blog to a crafts supplies shop, for example). This is exactly the type of insight we can uncover during a digital audit.
Two hours wasn’t anywhere near enough time to discuss all the ideas and questions we had so we have invited all attendees to a follow-up workshop to delve deeper.
