Kaweb: Digital Marketing & Web Hosting Agency & ISO 27001 Certified!

Global Integra’s list of ISO 27001 certified companies includes Vodafone and Pfizer. Kaweb are now on that list too. After six months of hard work we’re proud to announce we’ve achieved our ISO 27001 certification with an ‘Outstanding’ pass from BSI.

We, Kaweb, gained our Certificate of Registration: ‘Information Security Management System – ISO/EC 27001:2013’ from the BSI, effective from 20th December 2021, and we’ll continue to be assessed under the BSI program every year with annual visits.
This is some of what was involved in getting ISO certified. It’s just a snippet!
  • Staff training
  • Physical and virtual security improvements in all areas of the business
    • MFA, SSO
    • New locks
    • CCTV
    • Key cabinets
  • Role based access
  • Contracts with staff, suppliers and customer
  • Agreeing and documenting policies, procedures and best practice
  • Identifying, discussing and ultimately attempting to reduce risk to the business:
    • e.g. Pandemic, Natural disaster, changes brought about by local/international law or politics (Brexit)

Here is what Paul Ingram, founder and CEO, has to say about the process.

“It’s the biggest thing we’ve undertaken in years as far as business restructuring… but it’s made us far more diligent and mindful of the security aspects of what we do.

We’ve seen this coming for over a year so had started organising our business processes in order to cover some of the work we needed to do. That said, it also offered up some ‘really, we have to do that?’ moments – but on the whole it was an extremely cathartic process – especially on the technical side of things.

Self governing business procedures in order to conform to internal office-based security issues is one thing – but also delving into IT assets/hardware, our hosting infrastructure and general data sharing is another!

We pride ourselves on being a very technical agency and as such this was a ‘no brainer’ to do.

The accreditation is not a green light for more work – but when we’re speaking to new business prospects, as well as our current clients of course, having the certification adds another level of credibility in our offering across all of our channels in the agency.”
