MSMEs schooled in digital marketing

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in collaboration with Bayan Academy and Facebook, highlighted the importance of using social media in operating through their seminar workshop, Go Global: A Digital Marketing Campaign for MSMEs, in Hotel Elizabeth on Archbishop Reyes Ave., Cebu City.Marivic Aguilar, chief of the SME Development Division of DTI-Cebu, stated this was the fifth run of the program, where DTI gives business owners insights on ways to be creative, utilize best practices, and use tools to assist in growing their organisation using Facebook and Instagram.She included she was amazed by the enthusiasm of entrepreneur in Cebu in reacting

to their invitation.”This is the biggest audience among all our runs. We were just expecting 100 individuals, but now there are currently 144, and there are still individuals who continue coming,”Aguilar said.DTI has conditions for the participants of the workshop: they should be ready to grow their organisation through digital marketing and they must want to produce Facebook business profiles.
