North Tyneside digital marketing agency boosts team after ‘record financial year’

North Tyneside based Cargo Creative has taken on seven new team members after increasing turnover by a third and securing a raft of new client wins.

As well as the new hires, the agency has also promoted six team members to Director or management roles, reflecting the introduction of a new structure that better caters for the growth in new client accounts. The new hires come as the agency is named as a Finalist in this year’s North East Marketing Awards, with the awards taking place in late November.

Owner Paul Hart commented: “Over the last year we have enjoyed exciting growth, winning 20 new clients with whom we can make a real difference, and expanding our team considerably. Our new clients include national brands such as Vita Health, regional big-hitter Invest Newcastle, plus international payment providers, TransactPay, to name a few.”

Ryan Errington, Lilly Eudell, Emma Glen, Jari Dorian, Eve Kidd, Dan Dobson and Jodie Riddex bring the overall headcount at Cargo Creative to 17. Founded in 2009 the agency specialises in delivering creative brand experiences through digital and design solutions.

Additionally, Carl Rutherford and Adam Gowland have both been promoted to Director, with Adam celebrating his 10th anniversary with Cargo this month. Adding to these internal promotions, Kasey Harms has advanced to Head of Design Services, Rich Walker to Lead Developer, Justina Burkauskiene to Head of Search, and Ryan Errington to Lead Designer.

Paul Hart continued: “We have also welcomed Jari, our first Motion Graphics Designer, to our team as the requirement for this service is on the increase and we expect to grow this team in the near future.

“Introducing motion graphics to our creative team means we can offer an end-to-end service from a brand and creative perspective. Throughout the year, we’ve worked closely with our clients to integrate their marketing strategies across channels, shifting from a solely design and digital delivery model to a fresh approach as brand strategy specialists.

“We are now in a great position to grow even further, are looking to recruit three additional employees in the coming months, and have ambitious plans to secure turnover of £1.2m in the next 12 months (from £950k currently).”

Cargo is a design, digital, motion graphics, and online marketing agency working with businesses such as Ward Hadaway, Perspective Financial Group, Everyturn Mental Health, IDP Architects, Central Employment, and YMCA North Tyneside.
