Personal Care Brand Wants To Turn Your Pubes Into Pollution-Shaving Products – Corporate B2B Sales & Digital Marketing Agency in Cardiff covering UK

A new hair-raising initiative aims to tap into a natural resource that’s been around since the root of human existence.

Personal care brand eos is launching , a movement to collect shaved hair from the nether regions and help mitigate climate impact.

That’s right—aside from preventing harmful bacteria from entering the sexual organs as well as reducing friction during intercourse, pubes have the ability to save the planet too.

The upcycling of pubic hair into a resource is made possible by way of eco organization Matter of Trust, which has been repurposing donated hair to make earth-loving products like mats that prevent soil erosion.

The human-hair mats can be used for soil irrigation, letting rainwater through the gaps while blocking it from evaporating too quickly. They also slow down the release of nitrogen into the earth to promote chlorophyll production and, ultimately, aid photosynthesis.

Additionally, the mats can be used to mop up oil spills. Human hair is biodegradable and durable, making for an eco-friendly alternative to the usual synthetic materials used to clean up waste.

According to eos, about 300,000 tons of human waste are thrown away as waste each year. The project won’t only put this wasted resource to good use but could also encourage healthy conversations about pubic hair.

“As we dug deep, we saw how human hair can be used as a renewable resource to positively impact our environment. We knew then we could kill two birds with one stone, and also use it as a perfect way to destigmatize talking about genital gardening,” Dana Buckhorn, senior copywriter at Mischief @ No Fixed Address, the advertising agency producing the campaign, told Ad Age.

To donate your body hair, simply register your interest at the website. Eos will then send over a 100% biodegradable envelope, along with a small tube of shaving cream, to ship your contribution. Carbon offsets have also been purchased to balance out any environmental impact created during the delivery process.

The hair will help fertilize a new ‘Pube Park’ that Matter of Trust intends to open at its San Francisco plant. For every tuft of hair donated, Eos will match it with a financial contribution, up to US$15,000, to Matter of Trust.

Although the campaign is intended to be short-term, Eos is hoping that enlightening the public on the other benefits of human hair will encourage more people to fertilize their house plants with “vagitation.”
