Built on an innovative remote working model, Roy has guided the agency to experience over 30% annualized growth over the past twelve years. He has led the Noodle Wave team to help generate over $80 million in revenue growth across a portfolio of diverse client campaigns in the US and Canada. Noodle Wave has grown to be a leader in the oral care vertical in the US and is steadily growing that niche.

More recently Roy lead Noodle Wave through being acquired by Republix–a group of individual marketing agencies who have come together under one name to build a platform that serves businesses with proven and predictable results.

Roy shares his thoughts on this milestone, “This new phase for Noodle Wave was always part of the plan and wasn’t out of necessity. It’s a huge milestone for me personally and for the business. As I reflect on what we’ve built together over the past 11-years I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and blessings.”

As a music composer, Roy has worked with top-selling producers and major label artists in the US, Korea, and Canada. Under the moniker, Double Dragon, his works have ranked on major music charts including Billboard, reaching millions of listeners around the world. Several albums Roy has worked on have received critical acclaim with a Grammy nomination, Juno and Stellar award wins.

Through Roy’s entrepreneurial and leadership journey, he has founded three companies. Led two of them to acquisition, generated over $100 million in revenue, built a catalogue of chart-topping music, and reached millions of people with positivity.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

This too shall pass. There is a season where you will be stretched beyond anything you have had to endure, but the storm will pass. On the other side is a sense of freedom and accomplishment waiting for you on the other side. Oh and get some rest.

A passion to serve SMB’s the quality of agency work they deserve at a cost that makes sense for their business.

What is your magic sauce?

We have a culture of servant leadership. Our metric for success is monitoring how well we go above and beyond for our clients and colleagues. This requires a selfless approach to our work. We reward those who look for opportunities to put a spotlight on others and not themselves. We have a healthy obsession with providing value for clients. This means constantly hunting for areas to provide clients meaningful results across lead generation, creative, marketing strategy, design, SEO. Basically where ever the client needs us.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Scale the business to become a key pillar in the Republix citizenship. Step out of the CEO role and pivot to an advisor for my team.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Being the CEO of my business while leading the company through an acquisition was one of the most challenging phases I had to go through. Although it is an exciting achievement to be acquired, I didn’t expect the amount of decisions that needed to be made in the process. Happy to say that I made the right decision for myself and the business.
