Do you struggle with taking selfies because your hand gets shaky while holding your phone? This time around, you can blame it on your iPhone 14 Pro.
Apple users were predictably excited to get a hold of the all-new iPhone with Dynamic Island and a 48MP camera. Little did they know their handsets were quaking with anticipation too. Some iPhone 14 Pro owners are complaining that their camera has been suffering uncontrollable tremors upon launching it on social media apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok, first reports.
Not only that, but the phones have been producing a rattling noise when the camera apps are open.
It’s worth reiterating that the bug doesn’t crop up with the default camera app on. Rather, the lens vibrates only when the camera on third-party apps is switched on.
The issue seems to be wide-scale, with YouTuber Luke Miani being one of the most vocal users to have encountered the iEarthquake. Miani, who experienced it on the Snapchat app, managed to get his device exchanged at the Apple Store.

Elsewhere, tech content creator Naaackers encountered the same thing with the TikTok camera, though the problem stopped when he closed the app. Users on Twitter, Reddit, and TikTok have also griped about this strange bug.

MacRumors deduces that the issue might lie in a software bug within the stabilizer of the iPhone 14 Pro’s rear lens.
Apple has now confirmed with the news outlet that it is aware of this occurrence and is rolling out a fix in the upcoming software update next week.
