**Job Role and Responsibilities:**

The Digital Marketing Manager will sit within the Americas Digital Marketing team and manage digital marketing programs for the geo. This team executes social media, content syndication, web personalization, email nurture, and omni-channel campaigns to deliver top of funnel leads and event registrants for the Americas sales pipeline. This person will own campaign planning, copy writing, content creation, and reporting for organic social promotion. This person will help spark innovation for social media programs every quarter, keeping up with industry trends and standards, while adding his/her own touch of creativity. The Digital Marketing Manager will be in charge of posting Americas organic social content to VMware’s main social channels, working with solution-focused stakeholders and organic social contributors across VMware globally. Key programs include webinar and event promotion, customer story amplification, employee advocacy, influencer videos and blogs, helping build out an influencer program, and demand generation marketing programs.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Develop strategies and plans to effectively drive event registrations for 20-25 webcasts per quarter using social media tactics and create awareness/drive engagement on social during events

+ Social post copy writing based on event abstracts with CTA of signing up for the event

+ Manage the Americas cross-channel digital strategy for amplifying customer success story content

+ Grow employee social advocacy engagement in the region; Manage intranet page for hosting social kits for a variety of stakeholders to further Americas Marketing goals

+ Manage the VMware Events Twitter channel and grow our social media following for increased organic reach

+ Build out a social media influencer program

+ Schedule organic social posts on Salesforce Social Studio

+ Execute social media pilots and tests to keep on the cutting edge and constantly improve programs

+ Collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team to share ideas, get feedback on plans, identify opportunities for omni-channel collaboration and help all members of the team be successful

+ Monitor daily social media engagement and reply when appropriate

+ Strong analytics and reporting capabilities with ability to analyze data with accuracy, provide monthly and quarterly reporting and learnings, and confident presenting results to a wide range of stakeholders

**Required Skills:**

+ 3-5 years of social media marketing experience (organic and paid)

+ Experience writing short and long form digital content with strong attention to detail

+ Proficiency posting content on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter without errors

+ Highly innovative and constantly keeping on the cutting edge of social media trends

+ Proven success working and adapting in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

+ Ability to work with cross-functional teams, balancing multiple projects at once, with exceptional stakeholder management skills

+ A proactive self-starter, team player and information seeker with the confidence to take ownership

+ Analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative) to collect and report metrics and identify trends, issues and other relevant information

+ Strong Excel skills and experience using basic functions, proficient in PowerPoint

**Preferred Skills:**

+ Passionate about social media both personally and professionally with proven success growing your personal social media channels or blog

+ Experience with Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo or Tableau

+ Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Premiere

+ Fascination with information technology and its use in business

+ Technical background or knowledge of VMware products a plus

+ Experience executing paid and organic social media demand gen campaigns and understanding KPIs

+ Innovative and creative problem solver who thinks outside the box

+ Experience successfully working in a remote team environment
