GreenFig, a market-driven education company that provides universities with turnkey, experiential learning programs in applied business science, today announced its partnership with private, non-profit National University on a new Digital Marketing Science program aimed at helping adult learners upskill and providing them with career-ready pathways. The new program, which is being offered through National University’s Division of Extended Learning, can be completed in as little as 14 weeks and offers insight into emerging trends and best practices that can be applied to their existing or future marketing practice. In addition, through the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA), eligible military spouses can receive up to $4,000 in financial aid to help offset tuition expenses.

Central to GreenFig’s pedagogy is the Apprentorship™, a mentored apprentice-like experience, where learners collaborate with skilled industry practitioners to solve real-world campaigns for companies. Working collaboratively in teams, students develop a portfolio of fully executed projects and gain skills using live-production instances of leading business applications to address actual business challenges. Graduates will re-enter or advance in the workforce, certified in Applied Business Science with industry-recognized credentials, certifications and badges directly from companies such as Google, Salesforce, Facebook, HubSpot, among others.

According to a 2018 Blue Star Families survey, 56 percent of military spouses report being underemployed. A recent study by Strada Education shows the benefit of non-degree credentials has already been recognized for veterans, with certifications providing an average salary increase of $10,000 per year.

“Moving from one base to another often results in employment gaps for military families, but fast-paced technology is driving tremendous career opportunity,” said Sara Leoni, CEO of GreenFig. “We are honored to partner with National University and MyCAA to strengthen our commitment to military spouses and to empower all adult workers to level-up their skills for the digital-age workplace.”

In an on-going mission to provide access and opportunity to military spouses, GreenFig also partners with the nonprofit, The Paradigm Switch, an organization that empowers military spouses to work from anywhere in the world by helping them leverage technology to launch digital careers.

“Even as a digital marketing veteran for over five years, taking GreenFig’s course helped me connect the dots and build a holistic campaign and a firm foundation to apply what I learned immediately,” said Katie Russell, Army spouse and Director of Content of The Paradigm Switch. “Coupled with The Paradigm Switch’s focus on helping military spouses to stop starting over every time they move, GreenFig’s online program is a game changer for spouses of all career and skill levels.”

Enrollment for GreenFig’s Digital Marketing Science program at National University is open now and will begin January 28, 2020. For more information or to apply for the MyCAA scholarship, please visit: https://www.greenfig.com/schools/dms/national.
